Plants

This isn't so much a blog post as a list of plant I have.   If you know me you may know that I like to propagate plants.   In terms of indoor plants I have

Note all images below are stock images.  Plants will be in plain plastic pots so if you want something fancy that is a good excuse for a trip to a plant store or Home Depot

African Violets: For more info see https://www.almanac.com/plant/african-violets.

Currently working on these, don't have any spare now:(

Aloe: No blooms.  Really easy to care (only really issue is overwatering):  Currently have plenty to spare.

Amaryllis: Hippeastrum: Have 2 haven't figured out propagation yet.  For more info see https://extension.umn.edu/houseplants/amaryllis.

Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera x buckleyi ): Pink Blooms (early winter - early spring) Stupid easy to care for (almost un-killable) very easy to propagate.  The one I have spares of has pink blooms.  I currently have cuttings from a white one and I'm looking for the red version.
More details at How to Grow and Care for Holiday Cactus (Christmas Cactus) (thespruce.com)

Coleus:  Probably Wizard Scarlet.  See Coleus Varieties: 35 Different Types of Coleus Cultivars (allaboutgardening.com).  This is my most recent plant.

Dumb Cane (Dieffenbachia Compacta).  No blooms of interest.  Stupid easy to care for.

See Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane): Plant Care & Growing Guide (thespruce.com)

Dragon Plant (Dracaena deremensis 'Rikki'). Easy to grow get's as big as you let it.  For more info see http://mooreparkplantscapes.ca/dracaena-rikki-plant-of-the-month/.

Elephant Ears: Alocasia: Killed it, got underwatered :(  For more info see https://www.thespruce.com/grow-alocasia-indoors-1902735

Forsythia (easy to grow outside, I guess you could grow it inside).  Striking blooms in spring, not much to look at the rest of the year.

Graptoveria Porcelain Plant: Killed it.  See https://www.thespruce.com/grow-alocasia-indoors-1902735.

Haworthiopsis Tortuosa: Killed it, don't have any currently.  For more info see Haworthiopsis tortuosa f. variegata | World of Succulents.

Kalanchoe(Kalanchoe blossfeldiana): Stupid easy to care for (almost un-killable).  Yellow blooms, in winter-spring.   Very easy to propagate.  Currently I have several of these.  I'm also starting to work on the red version, but that's months from having spares. For more info Kalanchoe: Indoor Plant Care & Growing Guide (thespruce.com)

Kalanchoe marnieriana (Bryophyllum marnierianum)
Blue leaves, none to spare for now, no pictures currently. For more info see Kalanchoe marnieriana (Marnier's Kalanchoe) (gardenia.net).

Kenilworth Ivy (Cymbalaria muralis): Interesting little bloom. Can grow inside or outside.  Easy inside or out. Very easy to propagate.  Outside plants are subject to crashing so having multiple plants going is a good idea. For more info see Plant Profile for Cymbalaria muralis - Kenilworth Ivy Perennial (perennials.com).

Luck Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana).  Relatively easy but it can suffer from chlorinated water.  A de-chlorinator or access to water from a fish tank can help.
Note the spiral in the image takes effort that's not how it grows naturally.  You often see this growing in a vase with water an pebbles, which also works for a time.

see https://www.thespruce.com/growing-lucky-bamboo-1902994 or https://www.ourhouseplants.com/plants/lucky-bamboo-dracaena-sanderiana.

Lamium Purple Dragon: Easy indoor or out.

Prayer Plant(Maranta leuconeura): Moderate difficulty doesn't like to dry out, but can die from overwatering.  Also tends to get leggy and need to be cut back.

Rubber Tree(Ficus elastica) -- (probably decora)
This one is easy and will grow as large as you let it.  For more info see Burgundy Rubber Plant Care (gardenguides.com).

Snake Plant: Very easy. No blooms of interest.  None to spare currently.  See https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/dracaena-trifasciata/.

Spider Plant(Chlorophytum comosum): Very easy.  No blooms of interest. For more info see Learn About The Care Of Spider Plants (gardeningknowhow.com)
Tradescantia zebrina: Reasonably easy but doesn't like being overwatered.  Left to it's own devices gets leggy so requires pruning. (Have plenty)

I've also got a series of aquatic plants

Dwarf Sag

Java Moss

Montecarlo

Rotala Rotundifolia

Vals

Subwassertang (easy to grow in an aquarium)
